April Lockhart is a born on July 4th in 1995. In the seventh grade she began to take piano and guitar lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for songwriting. April Lockhart wrote her first song"Different" at 12 years old. The year she turned 14 was when she spent a lot of time to making song lyrics and working on the music she was playing. She began writing with her dad and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in her book Take My Hand to help those of her peers who struggled with peer pressure, disabilities or even suicide. Lockhart has her own fan base and works as a lifestyle blogger at the well-known Ilia Clean Beauty brand. She was not born with a left hand, and that is why she's who she is. However, that's not the whole story. As a result Lockhart's Instagram account isn't afraid to talk about her disability, but it doesn't center around her disability either. What is the message? We are all more than our physical selves. The identities we have are complex and we contain many different aspects. Lockhart in a video message from Nashville at home, claims that I do not want that to be a part of my character. I'm far more than just my physical self. It doesn't impact my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting to things. However, I also consider that it is a crucial component of my life. Lockhart has served as an excellent inspiration to her fellow women regarding acceptance of oneself. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her body and feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she wants. She also posts her photos on social networks. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not sure if you ever arrive she says of self-love. But, this isn't typical for people who has insecurities. I think it is important to be around those who are able to see the person you are.
