Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy de-Domme, France on 8 August 1976. She was oldest of four children. Audrey Tautou's parents, dentists and teacher in a school, helped and encouraged her in her initial interest in theatre and drama. The initial goal of her to be a monkey expert was surpassed by her desire to further study drama and theatre. When she was a teenager she became a star was fast and punctuated by first-time successes. Following her graduation and completing her studies, she took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. The show awarded her the the title of Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000 and began her career as an actor. Though she was a student at an institution called the Institut Catholique de Paris and had a religious affiliation in her early years, Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she is not officially Catholic. With her acting work and modeling career, she has began a modeling career. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. Also, she has an intense passion for photography. She recently produced an exhibition of her photography at the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. The photographs she takes tends to focus on the spotlight and celebrity. Cameras are focused to journalists, who have sat and watched the actress in the wake of Amelie's unexpected success. Audrey Tautou became a star and became famous internationally with her first role in Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is a global box-office hit, receiving accolades during awards ceremonies across all over the world. Amelie is among the top-performing french-language film to hit the US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou went on to appear in many films like British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
