Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. She was encouraged by her dentist parents and teacher who were both teachers in the pursuit of her desire for acting. This was in contrast to an earlier desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she was fascinated by monkeys. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift increase in recognition marked her as a young actor. After completing her masters degree, she was asked to take part in Jeunes Premiers which is the French television talent-scouting program that was sponsored by Canal+. She also took home the Most Popular Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The experience led her to embark on a professional acting career. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, in addition to attending church as an infant. In the past, she's moved away from her religious background. She claims that she's not officially Catholic. The model pursued her career alongside her acting career and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. Photographing is a obsession and she was recently shown her work in the Arles festival with the title Superficial. She focuses her photography on stars, fame and press that scrutinized her after her meteoric rise in fame thanks to Amelie. There are also some photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first role in a major film, in the role of Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was an international box-office hit, receiving accolades at award ceremonies around the globe. It remains the highest grossing French language film to be released in the US. The film's popularity led to Tautou's appearance in a wide range of movies ranging from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles before moving to Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
